What Is WOCN Split Option

Program Description

This program gives students the option to design a curriculum that combines the Home Study with attendance at portions of the onsite courses.

Home Study Modules
Introduction & Wound Management
Abdominal Stoma Management
Fecal and Urinary Incontinence
Professional Practice

On-Site Units
Week 1 -- Urinary and Fecal Incontinence
Week 2 -- Abdominal Stoma Management - GI
Week 3 -- Abdominal Stoma Management - GU
Week 4 -- Wound Management
*Professional Practice content is integrated throughout Weeks 1-4

 

 

 

 
Example:
A student may elect to complete the Home Study Modules 1 & 4, in addition to attending  the weeks for the Incontinence content & Abdominal Stoma Management GI-GU.
Following completion of the Home Study and On-Site course work the student would advance to the 160-hour clinical practicum with an approved preceptor.
